Two New Paranormal Classes Join Pathfinder In The Dark Archive
January 4, 2022 by fcostin
We are deep into the Second Edition of Pathfinder, and Paizo is releasing a brand new rulebook coming August 2021, with intrigue into the paranormal and two new classes making way into the game system.
Dark Archive // Pathfinder 2E
Expanding out into new and mysterious horizons, The Dark Archive will look into the unknown. Covering a variety of content looking into secret societies, cults and temporal anomalies that happen across the universe. The book will be laid out in eight different sections, covering information on eight dossiers that are scattered throughout the world. Once stolen, players will head out to search with several new mini-adventures to locate and learn the lore of each, which will reference the paranormal activity in the rest of The Dark Archive.
Concept Art // Thumaturge Class
Along with the new content, there are two new classes heading over to Pathfinder as a part of The Dark Archive to add to the abnormal. Bringing forth the Thaumaturge and the Psychic for greater insight into the unknown. The Thaumaturge wields many a trinket and magical item to thrust them forward into success. Updating the Occultist class away from simple spellcasting - this miracle-making marvel will be able to assist in raw power specialising in dark magic.
Concept Art // Psychic Class
The second class to be heading over from The Dark Archive is the Psychic. Equipped with Psionic Abilities, whether it be a mind blast or a simple nod to foresight - these spellcasters will have insight into the anomalies that lurk as the unseen.
If you are keen on Pathfinder and wanted to give the new classes a go, you can head on over to Paizo to download the class playtest to get a gauge of the upcoming walks of life.
If you are looking to expand into the spooky, The Dark Archive will be firstly available at Gen Con 2022 before heading out to retail after the event.
What path would you take? The path of the Thaumaturge or the Psychic?
