August 10, 2021 by brennon
Free League are back on Kickstarter with a new campaign looking to add two new books to the growing Forbidden Lands Fantasy library. The focus this time around is on the Book Of Beasts and The Bloodmarch!

The first of these books is the Book Of Beasts. This is a brand new bestiary that has been filled to the brim with artwork and rules for terrifying monsters and lethal encounters to include in your adventures.

Twenty-five monsters are included as part of the book but more are getting added as Stretch Goals get unlocked as part of the campaign. As well as the rules you'll need to battle them, you'll also find lore in there allowing you to explore their strengths and weaknesses and encounters that you can use in your games.

Forbidden Lands is, once again, a stunning piece of work by the creative team. It has been put together by Andreas Marklund and Erik Granström and then illustrated by Henrik Rosenborg and with graphics by Niklas Brandt. So, if you want to go searching for them on the internet you now have some names!

This really does look like a fantastic piece for those who want to expand on their options for Forbidden Lands. It always pays to have more tricks to pull on an adventuring party when they are deep in the wilds.
The Bloodmarch
The next of the books is a campaign focused one called The Bloodmarch.
The Bloodmarch // Forbidden Lands
Within this book, you'll find an in-depth campaign called Legacy Of Horn that expands on the game world of Forbidden Lands. A demonic scourge is infesting the land and it is now up to you to try and work out how to stop it. You will need to collect together the artefacts of Horn´s Astra and use them to deal with the blight.
Much like with previous expansions, The Bloodmarch comes with an entirely new section of map for you to explore. Due to the nature of exploration and adventure in Forbidden Lands, this should become a unique piece just for your group. It looks deadly, dangerous and an exceptionally fun place for a roleplaying game to be set.
Make sure to check out the Kickstarter campaign and let us know if Forbidden Lands has captured your roleplaying group's attention.

It’s always good to know your enemy’s strength and weaknesses.
The artwork is great. Pencil is one of my favorite art forms.
Nice to see this get an “official” posting instead of my little town crier forum post. =)
Free League Publishing’s books and games are top notch production value. I think I’ve backed all of their English language RPG Kickstarters and website preorders…and a few of their art book projects. All of them are amazing! The art, the paper/cover quality, etc.
Their GM screens could stop a freakin’ bullet! 🙂
If you don’t know Forbidden Lands, the KS is definitely worth a look.
