New Dungeon Adventures Sets & Quests From Mantic Games
May 15, 2023 by brennon
Mantic Games have introduced a whole new set of Dungeon Adventures sets for you to get stuck into over on their webstore. If you're looking to build some interesting dungeon-delving adventures in games like D&D then you've now got a host of ideas for characters, encounters and villainous foes to throw at your players.
Dungeon Adventures - Demons // Mantic Games
A variety of the boxes feature some of the stunning miniatures from Mantic Games, grouped together into themes. Much like with the Epic Encounters sets by Steamforged Games, these sets of 28mm miniatures are perfect for giving you a jumpstart when it comes to thinking up Fantasy adventures. These don't come with rules for those encounters but I think the miniatures should provide you with some cues as to where to get started.
Dungeon Adventures - Northern Clans // Mantic Games
Perhaps your heroes have headed North and found themselves in the snowy mountains at the top of the world. In an encounter with tribes there, you accidentally stumble into a clash with that raging beast (above) and then cause the ire of the nearby tribes to rise. It suddenly becomes a race to get down the mountain before the barbarians catch up with you.
Dungeon Adventures - Terrors // Mantic Games
Dungeon Adventures - The Pious // Mantic Games
Similarly, perhaps these Pious fellows are in complete control of a sunny city. Yet, nothing is quite what it seems and whilst they might be dressed in gold and white, these warriors are actually supporting some terrible murder god who takes sacrifices each day in order to sate its thirst. You and your adventurers have been tasked with cleansing the city of this cult and uncovering their unholy work so that the populace sees them for who they truly are!
The boxes don't stop there. There are loads of additional miniatures for you to snap up from these boxed sets. Some of them could be used to represent heroes as well as villains.
Dungeon Adventures - The Bosses // Mantic Games
For example, that fellow with the guitar there seems a lot like a Goliath or Orc Bard if you ask me. Maybe you fancy getting a bit salty and picking up some of these miniatures to represent Dragonborn or Tortles in your games of Dungeons & Dragons?
Dungeon Adventures - Trident Warriors // Mantic Games
As well as being solid options for a dungeon-delving adventure, this might also be a good place to pick up characters to use when leading your armies in Kings Of War. I am a believer that one model can end up making you think up entire forces and these could be just the impetus you need to start going down the route of collecting a new army.
Dungeon Adventures - Dungeon Rogues // Mantic Games
Dungeon Adventures - Halflings // Mantic Games
A lot of these miniatures will be familiar to folks who have been looking at some of the board games and such that Mantic Games have worked on over the years. Maybe you've spied these miniatures from afar but not really felt the pull to dive whole hog into an army? Mantic have you sorted! I think the Halflings in particular look awesome and who could say no to a Gastromancer?
New Dungeon Adventure Quests
As well as the sets of miniatures, there are also two new boxed sets which feature both terrain and quests for you to use in 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons. You have Beware The Green Rage...

...and Curse Of The Vampire.
Curse Of The Vampire // Mantic Games
Here's some background on these particular adventures.
"Beware The Green Rage: There has been an increase in the number of raids by orc tribes in the last few months. Normally a disorganised rabble plagued by in-fighting, the packs of orcs have started to coalesce under a single red banner adorned with a crudely drawn lightning bolt piercing a grinning skull. This is the banner of the orc godspeaker Var-Rok, a powerful user of cruel orc magic. Can your heroes defeat this new menace?"
"Curse Of The Vampire: Lady Trynn is a halfling noble from the town of Anserton. She has become more reclusive and her behaviour erratic as of late. She has increased the taxes of the local farms and refused to deal with, or even acknowledge, the sudden increase in the disappearances of villagers. The Mayor of Anserton, has hired you to pay a visit to Lady Trynn to find out exactly what is going on, and what is at… stake."
Seems like a good reason to pick up a couple of additional sets of miniatures as well as some new adventures to play over the weekend with your friends. All you'd need are the free rules for Dungeons & Dragons and some time to paint up the miniatures!

Megabard!
I was tempted by League of Infamy for the character models, but resisted.
Now that they are being recycled as ‘Rogues’ I may pick them up.
Northern Clans and Demons could be useful too… although not sure about the demon on the right that has set fire to his own fart.
On the Mantic page it shows what’s inside the Curse of the Vampire box and the terrain in that is perfect for a Victorian era campaign I will be running soon.
Sorry… double posted and can’t delete second.
Fab looking figures.
Mantic are getting better and better, and they seem to be moving away from the overly cartoony style – which is a great thing in my book. I like all the figures here. The gargoyle reminds me of Demona from the Gargoyles animated show.
Missed opportunity for crossover. They should have released miniatures with stats (even online) for Vanguard (eg. a warband set) or KoW (eg. personalities). Already have too many mini’s to paint. :/
