September 22, 2021 by fcostin
Last year, the tabletop community was intrigued by the new movements from Monolith Edition for Batman Day. Whilst players are already immersed in their popular title, Batman Gotham City Chronicles - it was further announced that there would be an RPG on the way too.

Batman Day in 2021 certainly did not let us down, as Monolith Games have now released some new details for their upcoming tabletop RPG inspired by the Batman franchise. Allowing players to create their own character in the centre of Gotham - heading its way to Kickstarter in 2022.
Being thrust into the action, players will undergo their story holding Gotham City as its main focal point. Players are able to create their own character to slot right in, or roleplay as popular DC characters - whether it be hero or villain - such as Nightwing, Huntress and the Riddler.
Being tasked to overcome challenges that will require out-of-the-box thinking in the role of the superhero, new objectives will arise and players will need to step into the shoes of some of the most misunderstood characters to harness the ability to survive in Gotham.
Heading over to the Crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, players will have a choice of different books and sourcebook material to choose from, including rules and tips for immersing yourself in the game. There will also be The Gotham Chronicles which will provide players with a dozen new scenarios to get started with, and The Gotham Guide providing backstory and lore for players to have evidence to adapt to their environment.
Are you looking forward to the Batman RPG? Would you take the path of a righteous hero or fearsome villain in the fierce streets of Gotham?

I supported the first Batman:GCC Kickstarter but found nothing of interest in the plastic fest that was the second one. The updates to the game and additional scenarios and smaller play boards look good and I’ll certainly be following this closely. I’m not bothered about the RPG but it is a cool setting if that is your bag.
looks interesting.
