I loved neverwinter nights and have played D&D for years, this immediatly grabbed my attention and I think I might have a bit more of a look at it
Real cool trailer, only wish that I can play D&D Encounters here in Sweden.
The Concept-Arts and Illustrations are outstanding !
That poor woman’s speech pattern is apalling. It’s like a bad video-game intro…
The take on this old setting looks interesting, though.

I just wish they’d recreate the Greyhawke setting for 4th E
Wouldn’t put it past them – never know with the rate WotC are pushing out supplements these days.
I would doubt it. The amount of fan-made content and the decentralised way that the RPGA split up the regions etc. would make IP enforcement a pain… for all concerned… 😀
I would love to run a neverwinter campain i will call it nights and there will be a kobold called deekin.
I hate 4th edition I pretend it dose not exist and play 3.5. wish they would go back to that instead of this 4E nonsence
Funny… I never liked 3.5 or D20… As someone who liked to play a Fighter, you get very bored with “I swing my longsword” and carrying the Wizard until they got to a level where they could handle an encounter. 4th Edition gives something back to those classes who were the workhorses at early levels. The Wizard still gets to do all the flashy stuff and outside of combat situations, they have a wide variety of things they can do, what with rituals and (the new & improved) Prestidigitation, but they no longer get to hog the limelight in combat.… Read more »
I agree – the 4th Edition system makes everyone feel useful in a party, which as you pointed out was something a bit lost in previous editions. The new Essentials line has done a lot for evoking that old feel of previous editions while retaining what makes 4th Edition what it is.
I went back and read over the 3.5 Handbook not long ago and it made my head hurt in a way 4th Edition doesn’t lol
