Modiphius has announced a Kickstarter launch date for their new Discworld RPG. Terry Pratchett's Discworld RPG: Adventures In Ankh-Morpork is coming to Kickstarter on 15th October!

With this year marking the 40th anniversary of The Colour Of Magic (which I'm re-reading right now), this will be the first Discworld roleplaying game since 1998 and the GURPS rules by Steve Jackson Games.

"Adventures in Ankh-Morpork, the Discworld tabletop roleplaying game, catapults you onto the streets of The Big Wahoonie, and once you've dusted yourself off you can adventure to your heart's content. With imagination and some shiny math rocks at your fingertips, your story on the Disc awaits."

There's no word on the system are going to be using for Adventures In Anhk-Morpork but I'm hoping that it will feature its own, unique system that works alongside, as Modiphius put it, "the humour, satire, and darkly entertaining fantasy series".

It seems like this isn't the end for Modiphius and Discworld either. They have mentioned they have plans to publish tabletop games (note the plural there) so we might see them step into the world of miniatures games and board games as well as the roleplaying game.

I am intrigued to see what Modiphius have planned and a Quickstart will be available ahead of the launch of the Kickstarter proper if you sign up to the Modiphius mailing list.
