LITKO, Making Invisibility Look Good
May 17, 2011 by dracs
Have you ever wondered just what an invisible monster looks like? Well wonder no more as the guys over at LITKO Game Accessories have released a range of invisible monster markers!
These markers would be ideal for use in games of Dungeons and Dragons and other role playing games where there might be a possibility of being attacked by a creature you can only faintly perceive (although in my case my character's perception is so bad the creature doesn't have to be invisible to go unnoticed).
So guys what do you think of them? Can you think of any uses for the markers? Or are they just superfluous to your gaming needs?

These are superfluous to GMs IMHO, because it seems to me that putting on the table a marker for an creature the players can’t see is counter-productive… They either can see it, or they can’t ! The GM just has to remember where his invisible creatures are, or mark their positions down somehow behind his screen…
It might be useful, however, for players becoming invisible, or for summoned invisible creatures… Not an everyday occurrence, but common enough.

In the Fear and Faith skirmish game some characters can become immaterial, and a figure/token is required. These would do a job..
Not keen on the laser cut 2D perspex look myself.
I don’t really like the 2D loo, myself… but I agree, it’s good for immaterial beings. Still, even if you don’t like those, there are enough markers and tokens at Litko to satisfy most needs !

Decided to take the easy option and sculpt the figure in the process of transformation.
Should be about ready by 2023.
Let me see how it goes !

I think this would be good for marking Incorporeal characters/monsters, as well as Invisibles.
You have to remember that just because a monster is “Invisible” doesn’t mean that the players can’t see it. Invisible monsters are like the Predator (the alien from the movie, not the tank lol), it has a shimmery outline that can be noticed
