Indie gaming company Nanuk Ambitions have published their first book in order to raise funds for Crohn's & Colitis UK. Learn all about roleplaying with the help of The Mercenary Field Guide 2019.

The book was written by Duncan J. McNulty, one of a group of GMs known as "The Mercenaries" who attend the UK Roleplay and Wargames Student Nationals to run games.

The book gives a specific guide to making the most of the event, although it could easily be applied to other such conventions. In particular, it provides tips on how to be both a good GM and a good roleplayer, which is useful for anyone with a love of tabletop games.

On the surface the Mercenary Field Guide 2019 is a very specific book relating to a single group, going to a single event on a single year.  However, the advice contained within it holds wider appeal and would be useful to anyone attending any roleplaying based convention.  Tackling issues around how to be a good GM and player it also contains general advice on surviving a convention without giving way to starvation, dehydration or poor hygiene.  All this wrapped up with a nice humorous bow with fantastic artwork.  What more could you want?

£2 from every sale through DriveThruRPG is going to Crohn's & Colitis UK, in memory of a legend of the student nationals who sadly passed away.
