Here's some of the background to Heart Of Darkness...
"The company found a new lifeform, and they want you to study it. Their offer’s uncharacteristically generous—you catalogue this organism, determine how they can use it, and bring it back so they can slap their patent on it. Fairly routine stuff. In exchange, they'll hook you up with a cushy corporate department head position, secure you a book deal, and make sure the institute of your choice gives you tenure. Did I mention the money? There’s a lot of it. Simple survey, sample, and analysis job. Seemed too good to be true."
As is the way with all of these things, I'm sure it will all go to plan. Right? Andrew E.C. Gaska is back as the writer of this scenario which works as a standalone adventure for you and your friends. It also serves as a conclusion to the Draconis Strain Saga that was charted through Chariot Of The Gods and Destroyer Of Worlds.
ALIEN - Heart Of Darkness Spread // Free League Publishing
The scenario has been designed for three-to-five players alongside the Game Mother (love that that's the term they use!). The folks at Free League have labelled this as being a "spiralling descent into soul-crushing madness". Sounds perfect.

Inside you'll find...
- The main Heart of Darkness scenario book.
- A huge double-sided map (format 864x558mm) of the Erebos plasma trawling space station.
- Seven pre-generated characters to choose from.
- Custom cards for secret messages and personal agendas.
- Player maps and handouts.
I really like that this is the end of a trilogy of stories, mirroring a traditional "movie-style" format. It works very nicely considering the Cinematic Scenario design of these adventures (You're not expected to survive!) and should provide you and your players with a fitting finale!

Incredible artwork
agreed it looks lovely!
Heart of Darkness being the name of the Joseph Conrad novella – where the Nostromo gets its name.
Also the inspiration for Night Lord Primarch Konrad Curze who landed on the planet Nostromo.
My word Joseph really went onto inspire a lot of sci-fi nonsense with that one book. Some of his others however don’t reach the same level of prominence in pop culture. Less said about “The – and The Narcissus” the better!
Yay were safe the cat got it? as long as it’s dead because many don’t kill the victims an let it run riot in the house. Love the picture of the station orbiting the star/black hole had a wee flash back of the 70s film black hole, (Macmilian).
The cat IS the monster! It’s going to attack the PCs feet while they sleep and barf up hairballs in the dark hallways. Nightmare inducing!
Lol.
