Green Ronin Working On Critical Role D&D Sourcebook
August 10, 2016 by brennon
The world of Exandria comes to life every week thanks to the work of Matt Mercer and the rest of the Critical Role group. So, Green Ronin are now working to bring it to YOUR tabletop with sourcebooks based on this excellent world...
Green Ronin are responsible for other Fantasy settings like Fantasy AGE, Dragon Age and Titansgrave which was developed alongside Geek & Sundry and Wil Wheaton. Now Chris Pramas and Matt Mercer will turn their attention towards bringing this world to life for Dungeons & Dragons.
The game will be compatible with the 5th Edition of the rules and contain places, people and powerful items that have appeared within this rich tapestry of a game world.
This announcement comes on the heels of Magic The Gathering coming to D&D as well as a new Lord of the Rings/Middle-Earth Ruleset by Cubicle 7.
Will you be giving this a try?

Hmm… I hope it’s true that The One Ring is not going to be threatened by this in the long term. I long since lost interest in the style of games that the DnD rules seem designed for (though I’m not knocking them – people should play whatever they want to play), but everything about The One Ring is incredible. It’s so evocative.
Wonder if Vox Machina will feature as NPCs.
Presumably this will also be ‘set’ before the current Chroma Conclave arc takes place so that Matt doesn’t have to worry about trying to predict how things will be after it as he doesn’t know how well VM are going to do.
I would assume it has been set before ‘the big event’ aye – otherwise things are in a bit of a pickle!
Would be amusing if it’s set after it and the lore has them as successful while in the actual show they get slaughtered lol
Settings are nice. I do love mercer as a dm, BUT i have the feeling exandria is the same as forgotten realms (same type of high fantasy). I’d like to be proven wrong!
