May 22, 2024 by brennon
Monolith is back on Kickstarter with another way for you to dive into the world of Solomon Kane. The Savage World Of Solomon Kane is their limited edition roleplaying game using the Savage Worlds system that can also make use of hundreds of plastic miniatures based on the heroes and villains from Solomon Kane's back catalogue.

If you're just interested in the roleplaying side of things without the need for miniatures, there is a lavishly illustrated book on the way based on Robert E. Howard's Dark Fantasy tales featuring rules for running characters like Solomon Kane and his allies through adventures on the tabletop. The book makes use of the very easy-to-learn Savage Worlds mechanics but with twists to bring it in line with the world of Solomon Kane.

The A4 book contains a breakdown of the background of Solomon Kane and his adventures as well as rules for character creation. This is all powered by the latest Savage Worlds Adventure Edition rules and comes combined with an easy way to generate adventures for your heroes. There is also a big plot point-based campaign for you to throw your characters into that spans the globe and then at least a hundred foes for you to fight and characters for you to perhaps ally with.

Savage Worlds works well in the theatre of the mind but also works equally as well when miniatures are involved during combat encounters. To that end, Monolith are offering up a vault of miniatures to help illustrate your clashes on the tabletop.

The miniatures come in around the 35mm scale and can be combined with tiles and accessories to help run your combats using the Savage Worlds system. If you prefer being more wargaming orientated then Savage Worlds works nicely as a skirmish game with whatever theme you prefer. In this case, you could use these rules to run some great narrative adventures using the miniatures here.
More miniatures are also available for you to unlock through daily reveals and more. This is a great way for Monolith to rework the miniatures and more from the existing Solomon Kane game with a tried and tested system. It should also be noted that this is a very, very Kickstarter Exclusive project. You will only be able to get these miniatures and the book through Kickstarter, Pledge Manager (at a higher price) or potentially their Monolith's webstore during conventions for limited runs. Make sure to bear that in mind if you're interested in this project!
