Fancy Going On A Bloody Quest For Your Next RPG?
August 25, 2015 by brennon
A message popped up on Facebook about a new very bloody role-playing game system being worked on called, very fittingly, Bloody Quest. The game has some really interesting mechanics we've been told and I think it's one to keep an eye on.
The idea behind the game system is that it's trying to give you a sense of quick and brutal Medieval/Fantasy combat where limbs get severed and foes don't last long! Using a D6 system you'll be utilising a hit box type mechanic which allows for fluid and brutal combat.
You should also be able to apply the system to any setting you see fit with combats taking only half an hour to fight out compared to some drawn out ones in other systems. The game also suits miniatures and terrain if you prefer that over Mind's Eye gaming.
Keep an eye on this and we'll let you know when the Beta becomes available.
Does this sound fun?

Sound like an interesting idea, as someone who did start their Roleplaying with RQ2 and RQ3. That system sound like a homecoming 🙂
Too me it sounds like MERP or maybe Harn
“only half an hour” to resolve a combat? Blimey, I guess that shows how varied are the tastes of gamers. These days I don’t think I’d look twice at a game that took such a long time to do a combat. If a fight drags on past 5-10 minutes I think that’s a long time!
