Privateer Press have released information about their upcoming expansion for the Iron Kingdoms RPG. Check out some of the details for Kings, Nations & Gods below...
- An extensive account of the history, culture, and society of Cygnar, Khador, Llael, Ord, and the Protectorate of Menoth.
- New careers, skills, and spells to empower your character to take on the perils of the Iron Kingdoms.
- New equipment, including new mechanika and magic weapons from the Iron Kingdoms’ military armories.
- New steamjacks, including an arsenal of warjacks from the battlefields of western Immoren.
- New regional and military adventuring companies, each with its own theme and benefits.
- A comprehensive overview of life in the Iron Kingdoms and the history of western Immoren.
It's always nice to see a expansion to a role-playing game giving you more to explore. I have played a very quick game of Iron Kingdoms a while back and I did quite enjoy it. There are a wealth of choices for the world of the Iron Kingdoms and this just adds a few more.
Will you be using this?

Characters getting access to military hardware of Iron Kingdoms sounds rather awesome.
looking forward to this will be grabbing it as soon as it arrives in my local store! may even convince a friend to gm this time 😀
Has there been any mention of a release target for this book? I guess it might have been mentioned during L’n’L
Guessing it will be September, judging by this preview and also the fact that it is ment to be on Presale at Gencon
I wonder if warlocks will be released in this book.
I often wondered will they do a book about the lands and people of the Hordes armies?
They said what the first four hardbacks for the game were (including the core book) back before the core book’s release and I think they’re doing Hordes stuff in the next hardback.
Can’t remember what Book 4’s covering, but I’ve got the feeling for some reason that it’ll be about Rhul and Ios. Just a feeling, though, can’t remember what prompted it.
Yep, the Wilds is the next book, which give you access to warbeast and warlocks.
The fourth book is Ancient Empires, which will give greater details on Cryx, Rhul, Ios, and the Skorne empire
They should focus more on releasing adventures and campaigns.
Look at Pathfinder. Its the adventure path-series that sells best. A steady flow of campaigns/adventures makes them #1 🙂
They have actually put out a lot already. The is Urban Adventures, that includes a full adventure and a number of ‘encounters’ that can be used as scenes or blown up to full stories. Plus they have given an adventure in NQ – which is also the basis for the German language intro game – and more encounters for free online as part of Full Metal Fridays. Plus NQ has a tone of extras.
