Zin Never Dies: The Roleplaying Game // Nemo Dowme

The mysterious world of Djin-Za was destroyed by a magical source known as Zin. Leaving inhabitants in a state of restoration and confusion. Gods oversee and visit this world four times a year, however, these fearful colossal beings have the power to change reality. Nobody knows what they want, they are just aware of their existence.

To be an adventurer in this world would be shaming in the common folk's opinion. As Gods dabble with their abilities for mere entertainment: staying out of their way and remaining hidden keeps a commoner out of the gaze of a higher being and out of their own games.

“Zin is the thing of which reality is but a shadow...” - the Book of Zeek

Players are keen to harness the Zin, to break free into a world to make changes to civilisation and no longer hide in the shadows. The shadows however are a players' enemy. Heading out to different towers in the land that hold different forms of Zin Magic, players will venture out to attempt to control and manipulate the flow of Zin to change the world around them.

Each tower holds different abilities to grow depending on the will of the character. Coming out of hiding merely shines a light upon the players' heads, as Spirits will be working their utmost hardest to get in the way of any world-changing, tower climbing activities you may be setting off into.

As the game is very much narrative-driven, the game utilises the Fitting Action system so any combat, dice rolling and stats will be utilities to feed the adventure and story ahead. The player will be flexing their 12-sided dice for combat balancing hit points and life when damage is served.

There are seven different species to play as in the weirdly whimsical world, whether you want to rock up to the part as a slug equipped in a two-legged armour suit, adventure as the cunning Feborn cat people or dive into their other animal-inspired inhabitants of Djin-Za.

There are several different pledges available as part of the campaign, you can take to a PDF download to bolster up your digital library, get yourself the Hard Cover or dip into the different 'all-in' and deluxe packages available - including artwork, signed copies and unlocked stretch goals.
