Explore A Deep Space Wreck With Solo Game, One Breath Left
August 22, 2022 by fcostin
Amongst the Wreck, you find an abandoned spaceship which has gone down in mystery. As a space explorer, it's your job to figure out what happened. You will be traversing through corridors which have clearly been agitated and interrupted. Claw marks are across the walls and the wires are in absolute disarray - you'd better make sure you have enough oxygen to survive and report your findings.
One Breath Left Artwork // Stout Stoat
One Breath Left from Stout Stoat is on Kickstarter bringing a solo journaling RPG journey full of tension and exploration. Now in its last legs of the campaign it finds itself fully funded. There are three pledges for the zine, inviting players to pick up some contracts and document some alarming findings whilst attempting to escape death themselves.
Counting each breath for every movement made to ensure oxygen is considered before plunging further into danger and intrigue, players will be venturing across different rooms by mapping their pathways with cards.
Navigation Deck Cards // One Breath Left
There are several different contracts to dip into which players choose at the start of the game in character creation. Given the number of cards for design in the Wreck blueprint and map - the Navigation Deck will be sure to pull out all kinds of different rooms each time the game is played - meaning any map could be constructed.
Players will venture through each room, hoping to look for clues and investigate the reasoning behind the wreckage, spending Oxygen to learn more with hopes to get to the escape pod at the end of the route. If the survivor gets out of the Wreck, they will be able to spend their hard-earned cash to promote a positive future for themselves!
Mockup Preview // One Breath Left
There are three different pledges available with a lovely simple campaign. Providing a digital PDF alongside print-and-play resources, a physical printed Zine with thirty-five cards and resources, and a Deluxe edition containing everything plus more special resources. There are some stretch goals available too, which have expanded the art budget and card deck for the game.
There are less than two days left now on the clock, with hope for fulfilment by February 2023. If you think you have what it takes to explore the unknown as a fearless adventurer, and enjoy a solo journaling experience - be sure to check out One Breath Left.
