D&D Elemental Evil Monster Boosters Preview Pops Up
March 5, 2015 by brennon
Dungeons & Dragons is working towards that Elemental Evil campaign in April and in the mean time they've got some pre-painted figures for you to pick up in old school style booster packs. See what you think of the previews below for a range of the beasts you'll be facing...
In the first image you can see the Ogre followed by a Fire and Earth Elemental while in the second you get a shot of the Air and Water Elemental alongside a flying Chimera.
I have to say despite these photos not being too close up or high detail these are actually not bad! I think the Ogre and Chimera have painted up quite nicely, and the Elementals are pretty easy monsters to paint so it's good to see they nailed that well too. Overall I think I'd say I'm kind of impressed by the pre-paint work here.
Away from the models its also good to see more monsters become available for Dungeon Masters to use and even though it comes in an annoying format they aren't overly expensive to pick up. I like the idea of just breaking out some miniatures and getting them ready to go immediatly.
Saying that, the Reaper Bones line does require painting but it's got a lot to offer.
What do you think?

Do you know if they will also be usable with the new board game they have coming out? Meaning replace ones unpainted in the box of if they will come with stat cards and such.
I would assume they are effectively the ones from the Adventure Board Game just painted up and sold in boosters – in fact, looking at the images from the boxed game they are just that.
I imagine there is no problem switching them out once you get them.

Those are rather nice.
I can see me picking up some of these to use in KoW or DS. Even if some of the paint jobs are a little ropey on occasion, it’s no big deal to repaint or highlight/shade. The price is often pretty good even for softer plastic figs.
Yep gonna have to see how these look up close.
