Cubicle 7 has announced a new option for those wanting to do a bit of Sci-Fi time travelling! Doctor Who 5e: Doctors And Daleks is on the cards for later this year!

Here is some of the background...
"The wild adventures of everyone’s favourite Time Lord comes to the world’s most popular roleplaying game in Doctors and Daleks. Take your gaming group into the TARDIS and travel anywhere, anywhen. Want to meet Leornado da Vinci? Or see what life is like in the year 3,000? What about another planet entirely? All of space and time is your Venusian macro-oyster, but keep your wits about you — there’s a lot of danger in the vastness of eternity."
Doctors And Daleks is the brand new range of books that use the 5th Edition core mechanics to tell your stories of the Doctor and their companions. Starting things off will be the Doctors And Daleks Player’s Guide which will, obviously, give you all of the core rules for those wanting to use 5e as the basis for their adventures.
Previously, Cubicle 7 has done good work converting over the 5th Edition engine to work with their games. Adventures In Middle-earth was a fantastic roleplaying system and Victoriana is shaping up to be great with plenty of tweaks and quirks to make it fit the world.
The obvious bonus of something like 5th Edition is that it is a familiar system to a lot of roleplayers so it's a great entry point into roleplaying in a different world with mechanics that should come naturally to players and storytellers.
Expanding Doctor Who: The Roleplaying Game - 2nd Edition
More product for their bespoke system, Doctor Who: The Roleplaying Game 2nd Edition, is also on the cards with the Core Rulebook out there in the wild.

If you want to dive into their already well-established Doctor Who roleplaying game then you can also check out the Starter Set as well!

Overall, the future is looking bright for those diving into roleplaying as The Doctor and their companions on the tabletop. I like that we've got a couple of different options. If you have played a lot of D&D then the 5th Edition version might be a good way to go. If you want to different system entirely then try out the 2nd Edition of their established line!
Are you tempted to give Doctors And Daleks a go?

I think the Cybermen versus Daleks would make a better game.
If you have the miniatures from Warlord you could do that if you liked.
Yes but no but Ben.
Lol, as far as I’m concerned this is the equivalent if asking a Muslim if they’d like a beer with their bacon sandwich. Have to say, ignoring the fact that I hate both D&D and Dr Who, they don’t really seem like natural bed fellows
It is just a set of rules. No different than any other set of rules. Roll dice to determine an outcome. Some use D6, some D10, some D100, and D&D uses D20.
Implementation of rules systems either works or fails. SLA Industries had a great setting with some of the worst combat rules ever written.
My rough early morning post…. not a fan of D&D, I know having the same system for many Ip`s must save time in designing a new system for people to experience….
But.. My old school thinking just says “Lazy”, taking a old system and bolting it to this…
Lets wait and see….. open mind and all…
