Chaosium Running Cthulhu Masters Event At UK Games Expo This Year
February 28, 2018 by brennon
Chaosium is going to be running the Cthulhu Masters Event at the UK Games Expo this year, pitting the best role-players against each other to see who comes out on top amidst this world of horror.
Players who get involved with the event will be judged by the others at the table, with those getting through the first day's adventures moving on to play Chaosium's latest event scenario. This scenario, incidentally, is coming to life through Chaosium's own Scenario Writing Contest so it's going to be something rather special indeed.
A winner will then be crowned and walk away with an awesome trophy for their troubles. I really like the idea that there is a tournament/event being run where you get rewarded for your creativity and ability to play alongside others, rather than it just being a test of your competitive skill.
Check out Call Of Cthulhu 7th Edition for yourself!
You can find out more about this event in particular HERE.
Would you give this a go?

Sounds good will this be on the net?
I don’t imagine it will be broadcast but there’s a chance we’ll see some write-ups and such about this I would think.
That would be great if that happens.
it’s all good if it gets people roleplaying, but i’m not sure how i feel personally about competitive RPG.
I’ve done a couple before and all they were was the players at the table and the DM voting who they thought the best roleplayer was in that particular group. There wasn’t any missions or accomplishments the individual player had to achieve
that brings me back, before the dark times, before the 5 tailed cat people.
It was actually a Vampire RPG competition and it being a comedy RPG it was easy to role play
scooby?
thanks @torros
@avernos
No Vampire the Masquerade. We always thought of it as a comedy RPG. Its got people with GREAT BIG TEETHY!
