Champions Of Order // Cubicle 7
Physical copies of this book are going to be released in Q3 of 2021 but you can dive in and get access to all of the options in Champions Of Order right now through a digital PDF. Here is what's included as part of this new supplement...
- An expanded look at the Soulbound and their history, details on the mysterious Binding ritual that links the heroes’ souls together, and tables filled with sample Short and Long-term Goals for your hero.
- A brand new faction, complete with Archetypes — The Lumineth Realm-Lords, Aelves from the Realm of Light!
- New Archetypes, as well as rules for playing sub-factions such as the Anvils of the Heldenhammer of the Stormcast, the Ironwood Glade of the Sylvaneth, the Kraith of the Daughters of Khaine, and many more!
- Almost 100 new Talents and 50 new Miracles to further customise and develop your hero!
- Over 40 devastating new spells to unleash, including a brand new Lore of Magic — the Lore of the High Peaks!
- Over 30 new Endeavours to undertake between adventures, as well as over a dozen new contacts players can make, from Collegiate Scholars to Kharadron Endrineers.
There is plenty of new information at the front of the book which details the Binding ritual and what brought you together as a group. This is the kind of "Session Zero" content which is very, very good for binding a group together and forming the basis for a strong campaign. It doesn't just apply to Sigmar's Bindings either as it also looks to other patrons as well.
In addition to the new Archetypes including the Lumineth Realm-lords, the sub-factions help to better define the characters you can play in Soulbound. I like that you can start to add some real colour through mechanical differences when building characters. Yes, you're a Kharadron Overlord but what makes you different from the others out there?
On top of that are more Talents, Miracles, Spells and also Endeavours for use during the in-between times when not adventuring. This is a pretty great option for those starting out in Soulbound. It reminds me of how useful Xanathar's Guide To Everything is with Dungeons & Dragons.
If you're interested in Soulbound then maybe take a peek at the Starter Set which is also coming soon!

Bought it yesterday. Only skimmed it so far, but the subfactions are interesting. Roughly equivalent to bonus talent, but it gives the characters something to differentiate them from other members of their race and ‘class’. Personally I was disappointed in the sample short and long term goals, as I was hoping for more. It’s a big part of the XP system and can be tricky to handle if your players don’t do their homework and think about goals. The spells, miracles and talents will be useful. Allies and contacts I have plans for. What I really want now is the… Read more »
It still rots my socks that they have grouped the Dark Elves/Daughters of Khaine in with all these goody-goodies.
Making Slaanesh their arch-enemy makes even less sense.
No, not happy with AOS fluff at all…grrr
I’m rusty on Old World lore as I haven’t played Warhammer Fantasy Battles since 2nd edition, but I do recall Dark Elves being nasty pieces of work from Ravening Hordes. According to what I read in AoS stuff, Slaanesh ate lots of elf souls and they were retrieved by elf gods. If I’d been eaten by a god I’d resent it. And they are quite specific in having them part of Order, as there is no Good Faction. Order to me implies a lawful society and religiously murdering non-believers has alway been popular in the real world… and the ones… Read more »
Since Slaanesh swallowed all of the daughters of Khaine and Morathi when the Old world fell and they had to drawn from his stomach and neither side is to pleased about it. Having Slaanesh as their Arch-Enemy does make sense. I don’t like them allied with order either but recent lore in the table top game would suggest that Morathi and Sigmar aren’t on best of terms at the moment either.
It’s the old ‘enemy of my enemy is my friend’ thing.
After WW2 ended, Russia and America stopped being friends because they had no common enemy,
And when you limit yourself to four factions, there aren’t many options. Death, Destruction, Chaos and Order. Of this the only real choices for Daughters of Khaine are Destruction, or Order. Allying with greenies seems unlikely.
Perhaps off topic for the RPG but that artwork really shows AoS as the Big Hats Game. As a chaos dwarf fan I’m furious about their continued absence.
Stumpy’s have been exiled from 40k for years as well I believe, with the exception one in Necromunda i believe. Would it make you feel better if I corrupted a dwarf in my AoS campaign and made him chaotic? I think my world needs a short angry person with chaotic tendencies. This quote comes from a wiki and I like it for an NPC recurring villain… “If the influence of Chaos has worked terrifying changes upon the bodies of the Chaos Dwarfs this is as nothing compared to the transmutation of their hardy Dwarf minds. The traditional Dwarf values of… Read more »
