Bring The Grim Viking World Of Iskloft To Your RPG Sessions
May 24, 2018 by brennon
Jarl DM, who runs a blog and Youtube Channel has taken to Kickstarter with his supplement for 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons which takes his Grim Viking world of Iskloft and brings it to life.
The new supplement comes with loads of information to get you up and running in this Viking land. You will be able to play as a range of different Cultures or Aettir, each tied to the humans of this world. The variety then comes in the way these cultures develop and grow within the world, and of course how they clash.
Additionally, new Classes, Features, Backgrounds and more have been woven into the story so you have a truly awesome Norse experience. He has even gone to lengths to include sections on creating authentic names to fit the setting.
As well as these warriors, both men and women, you'll also of course encounter some of the more dangerous mythical aspects of Norse life. For example, you might find yourself having to hunt down the mighty Jotun as they descend from the mountains or coming-a-cropper of one of the Fae Alfar (Elves)!
The design and artwork for the book is looking stunning as I think you'll agree, really allowing you to get absorbed within the world and its culture.
You can find out more on the Kickstarter link above, but this is going to be a tough supplement for me to ignore!
What do you think of the idea?

Huge fan of D&D, and an even bigger fan of Norse mythology. The art I’ve seen has been fantastic, and really helps set the mood.
love the setting. Along with the 1st age of middle earth this is the setting i would be most tempted to build myself with D&D, I’m happy to let someone else do the leg work though. still early days for this one but probably worth a punt with such a low buy in.
not sure i’ll back this time as i have recently bought into Symbaroum, i’ll be keeping an eye on things mind and may yet pull the trigger
