Take A Peek At Amazon’s First Tales From The Loop Trailer
February 28, 2020 by brennon
Based on the artwork by Simon Stålenhag and given life by the success of the roleplaying game, Tales From The Loop, we now got our first look at Amazon's upcoming TV series of the same name. Take a peek...
From an early trailer, there is quite a lot to get your head around. Immediately we get a peek at some of Stålenhag's artwork on the screen with the collection of robots and bionics on display. You've also got a lot more of their stranger elements in play which are sure to bend your mind.
As someone who likes a good mystery and is quite the fan of the new rush of 'noir' shows that we've been getting in TV over the last few years, it's nice to see something like this arriving on Amazon. There are of course going to be parallels with Stranger Things but I think this is going to feel a little darker and a little more 'out there'.
There is plenty of room for both shows of course. More importantly, though I think this might even get some people interested in playing the roleplaying game from Fria Ligan. It would be great to see people watching this then wanting to play out their own stories from this wild and strange world.
Are you going to be giving it a watch?

I boycott Amazon and all its products.
Good to know
I don’t boycott Amazon or any of its products.
Also, good to know 😉
I bought a cot from Amazon and many of its products.
A boy from Cotswold met an Amazon peddling her products.
As an Amazon Prime subscriber, I will look forward to this despite the boycotts, non-boycotts and cot buying.
Perfect haha
Apparently the video induces madness in commenters.
*sits and munches popcorn while enjoying the show in the comments* Such drama. Such tragedy. Much entertainment. Who needs the series? Eh, I’ll likely check it out if I can.
They make a show out of 5 artworks. Amazing. There have been Stranger Things though.
Could well be worth a look at.
I would watch this, but am not getting yet another subscription.
I want one platform for all shows, not a platform per show as is the current trend.
I’d also say that it would have been better if it had been 100% Scandanavian.
although I’m firmly in the scandiwegian camp, in Loopy Tales there was a second reactor in Colorado
true and an American equivalent setting (‘Boulder City’) is mentioned in both books as an alternative.
I think the storyhooks and adventures also include alternate names for places and characters for both locations.
yup Boulder, Colorado. You may remember it as the home of Mork and Mindy
