Riverhorse Previews More For My Little Pony Tails Of Equestria RPG
January 19, 2017 by stvitusdancern
As we get closer to the release of the My Little Pony Tails of Equestria RPG from Alessio Cavatore's Riverhorse we get some nice previews of some of the different game items that will be available. In the quick preview, we see that there will be several ready-made adventure modules.
The first will be found in the expansion "The Curse of the Statuettes" in which you will also get dice information for the GM along with a screen and some Pony Sheets (Player Character sheets).
There will also be Tokens of Friendship, plastic crystals that you hand out to your friends as a sign of friendship. I am assuming that this is an integral part of the game. There will also be three different sets of dice that you can collect one for the Unicorns, Pegasi and Earth Ponies.
Later there will be expansion books to broaden the world of the Ponies and extra record sheets to continue on your journey. I know several people who are excited to see this released and we always see a large group that play My Little Pony themed games at Gen Con each year so this should go over very well.
You want to be a pony, don't you?

Not sure if i want this to play or Elite rpg… Giggles
This one might have more action in it, if Elite takes after the video game.
I am still bemused by this…. but I paint toy soliders so who am I to judge…. each to there own
Argh “their” not “there” … How did I do that? Could we please get an edit function for blog comments like we do in the forum ….. so I can toy with the dream of one day not appearing to be a total idiot. On a side note, my post wasn’t sledging the the game or River Horse or Alessio (who is a wonderful man and creator) but obviously this is bigger with kids in other parts of the world than it is in my little corner. The IP does have a larger following with young adult males who watch… Read more »
Just to throw my 2cents in:
This takes a very popular and successful IP and puts it on the table for the families who maybe want to involve their kids etc.
Putting the Brony community aside, I think this would just be a nice, fun game to play with your kids or if your kids want to try a game themselves.
But, if you happen to be a wargaming Brony, then why not play it? I would like to give this a go. 🙂
While not a Brony, I have a 5 year old daughter who enjoys various children’s programs and of them all the my little pony stuff is actually my favourite. It’s not hideously annoying like props pig, or cutesty like Sophia the first. It teachers her about friendship and supporting each other.
Personally I think I might pick this up to see if she like it, and it’s got to be better than my little pony guess who, which I’ve had to play every day since Christmas!
That should be Peppa Pig, my bad!
Props Pig sounds like a gangsta follow up. Maybe there’s an rpg in that.
You know the worst experience of my life, was going to Peppa Pig World for the day! I could have gone loopy!
If I was to play a Peppa Pig rpg it would be an evil campaign where I get to kill her repeatedly in different ingenious ways! Like Peppa Pig Hitman!
Peppa Pig World. The music! Why won’t the music stop??!?!
Luckily my boy likes dinosaurs, so talked the kids into visiting the lost world too.
Mine are still young enough for Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol. The eldest will be five this year so hopefully I can move him onto other stuff. I’ve not see a lot of the My Little Pony cartoon but I have was a pleasant surprise.
that exactly what I have at home too, I was so delighted when she stopped watching pig and fell in love in my little pony and star wars rebels. I cant wait fore that game to come out and play it with my wife and 5 year old to be daughter. and have you seen dragon ball episode? amazing stuff. I cant wait to get her hooked to power puff girls.
@rekky I get where your coming from. It already feels like I’ve been making up pony adventures with my little girl, we might as well add rules, and stats.
me too, we use her room as equestria and my terrain and her toys and create simple adventures, I hope rpg will help me to create better advenures and she play games with me so rolling dice is no strange for her when we play.
I think it would be a giggle , kids or no.
Looks interesting.
What’s a brony?
I’ll be picking this up. Looks like a easy way to introduce my 7 and 4 yo to gaming. It’s great for educational purposes too. Reading, writing, creative story telling and problem solving. And that’s just for me.
