River Horse Show Off Terminator Genisys Spidertank!
October 1, 2015 by brennon
River Horse have sent us in an awesome preview of their upcoming Spidertank for their Terminator Genisys miniatures game. See what you think of it squaring off against John Connor. I don't think that he's going to be able to take it down...
As you can see it's one very impressive miniature. I love the design of the legs and the amount of guns they are also bringing to bear. The front of the Spidertank, with the rather smooth looking 'face' looks quite odd but is indeed in line with the design.
It's great to see some big vehicles coming to the game. It would be good to hear from the community whether or not they are still playing the game and if they have expanded upon the base game with more troops and vehicles.
What do you think of the Spidertanks design?

That’s pretty nice. I hope they do both o hte H-K’s as well.
Nice. I have the starter set, and as much as I want to support Alessio and River Horse, I’m not sure I’ll buy into the game much more than that. Well, maybe just this one model…
I love Terminator Genisys! I usually get in a game every two weeks or so.
Since the minis are 1/48 scale I’ve added Apaches and Humvees to my resistance!
Not 1/48 scale though, these models are very small compared to my 1/48 models, standard 28mm/ 1/56 I’d say.
I still haven’t seen genysis, so i have no connection with this tank… it does look cool though!
I am a little taken back with the brutal seams in the gun arms though, they taken it down a few pegs.
I would love to see some of the original HK’s shown up in this game! Pegasus hobbies amkes some kits, but they are rather pricey.
Very cool, but for me the weapons are a bit OTT. Still may end up with one.
Really nice, best ive seen from this range so far
That is a stonkingly stunning model. Lovely stuff.
That’s gorgeous. I like that better than most 40k stuff. I’d say it’s a better design than some Infinity mechs (more Infinity than Infinity?).
Very nice, would look great on my desk, so may have to get one 🙂 Wonder how it compares to size to a 40k dunecrawler, could make a nice kitbash with that instead of the box on legs that you currently get
You may want to look at Robogear for some good kitbashing bits. The models are a bit derpy, but the individual pieces are great, and they’re only about $8 a throw, so you can wreck a few without wrecking your budget. Lots of it on EBay.
If Terminator Genisys models were all this standard, I would play it in an instant because this thing is cool
I’m really looking forward to using this in-game. As well as being in Genisys, it was also in James Cameron’s original script and concept art for Terminator 2, where it was known as the “HK Centurion”. Was also in some Terminator comics and novels. (And yes, it always had a ludicrous amount of big guns!) http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/terminator/images/e/eb/Quadhk1.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120101224919 I’ve been absolutely loving the Terminator Genisys game and I’ve bought all the extra figures they’ve done, such as the Special/Heavy endoskeletons, the T-1000, Arnold (“Pops/the Guardian”), and John Connor. For vehicles I’ve been using some toy Humvees and a toy Bradley APC for… Read more »
Missed seeing the film at the cinema and the game didn’t really catch my attention but this looks great. The mech would look good in an Aliens vs Predator game too. I know military robots would be a colonial marines thing, but the head does have a rather ‘alien’ look to it, which would help it feel part of the universe I think.
nice, not getting a terminator vibe from it.
That looks really good.
This looks much better. The gun seems can be filled but really we shouldn’t have to.
That’s not John Connor it’s Kyle Reese. Still looks really neat.
