new t-shirt Justin mate? give us a twirl.
I was going to say I already have everything, but then I noticed that create a character option. Yes please 🙂
Yeah! What a great way to start the year! I love Sodapop Miniatures. Looking forward to this one guys!
I’ve been looking at this game for quite some time. My favorite faction is the Star Nebula Corsairs. What’s not to love about seeing the GREAT Captain Harlock on the tabletop? Super excited for next week and Beats of War is definitely starting this year on a, awesome pace!
I’ll be interested to see this. Not my normal thing but the minis look great.
That’s excellent news! I’ve been waiting for this for months!
So stoked for this. Can’t wait to delve into this world.
Thanks a lot, really looking forward it 🙂
Interested, any good scale comparison pics out there?
Hrm. This should be interesting. These guys do have some exquisite models.
Here is a game that I have oogled at the unboxings but know nothing about … should be a great informative week … kicking of 2017 with more shinny goodies !!!
Oh man I’d love to work with them to make a new miniature
Always been intrigued by Relic Knights, so this should be great.
Going to be interesting to see how they manage to integrate the disparate visuals into one cohesive look for the game ….
Shouldn’t we have a law against games that are this sexy ? 😉
I thought I could start this year with me not wanting to buy into another game system because of a theme week, but it apparently wasn’t meant to be.
As a original backer i’m quite interested what comes next.
How exciting! I can’t wait! 😀
I don’t know a thing about the game so it should be an interesting week. First glance I like the look of the Noh
It’s kind of a wrasslin “card-effect” warband w/ a leader game like Warmachine only driven by Uno cards instead of a mageknight/clix type 2d6 dice mechanic (or standard 54 card poker cards like Malifaux)
While I guess in some ways Relic Knights is like Wamachine, in that both are warband/cadre based, in terms of how it plays in my experience Relic Knights is the complete opposite of Warmachine. In Warmachine, the attacker has the advantage and it can be very easy to brutally destroy an opponent that makes a single mistake. Relic Knights is very forgiving of mistakes, and the defender usually has an edge (although less so in the newer V1.5 rules). Objectives, of which you have at least three in any game, are also vitally important in Relic Knights and killing enemy… Read more »
I agree that Relic Knights plays completely differently from Warmachine, but not that it is very forgiving of mistakes. It is in the sense that killing units is a little more difficult than it is in most wargames, so you can make a mistake in that sense and not have the unit die, but it is very punishing on inefficiency. Relic Knights is all about hitting the VP threshold in as few activations as possible. You waste one or two activations on the wrong victory condition and that can cost you the game regardless of whether any of your units… Read more »
Yes, you’re right, and making the most of each activation is important. The difference for me, I suppose, is that if you waste activations in Relic Knights you get to finish your game, have fun and learn from your mistakes. With Warmachine if you leave your caster exposed then it’s game over then and there. From my experience, I’d also say there’s a difference in the preciseness required in your actions. I’ve never lost a game of Relic Knights because one model was half an inch out of position; I can’t say the same about WarMachine. Now that might just… Read more »
I know nothing about it….so its my chance too…I think the title of the game does not give me a glue of its theme you see….
Have to say from playing this one that the game is very different from the usual variety of games, its a lot more cerebral and tactical less rush in and smash and more plan, move and counter move.
I think with a lot of gaming being 40k/FB centric its easy to forget other play styles as GW has bombarded the industry for a long time, but other games do offer something different and just as playable with varying styles of play.
This will be nice to see.
Hopefully this gets some attention for the game, couldn’t get anyone to play it, and local stores won’t carry it, and can’t special order it because distributrs never have it stocked.
I still love the Corsairs and Noh I have, but I’ve kinda given up hope.
That’s one hell of a star prize! I’m coming up with all sorts of character ideas just thinking about it 😉
I am kind of excited to see what Relic Knights is all about.
