Red Box Close In On Final Hours For Warbands Of The Cold North III Kickstarter
October 16, 2016 by brennon
Red Box Games are closing in on the final few hours for their Warbands Of The Cold North III Kickstarter, adding even more, characters to their growing range of metal/resin figures in 28mm.
Useful for all manner of skirmish level games and role-playing adventures they've been exploring some more mystical characters with this Kickstarter project. For example here is a pair of Mages...
These look great and would be perfect at the head of a Frostgrave warband, especially with the latest expansion on the way. I'd also say they're perfect for someone looking to run a Nordic themed campaign where you want to involve a bit of the Fantasy element to proceedings.
As well as spellcasters they also have some more martial characters in the mix too including...
...this fellow here with sword and shield at the ready. The detail they work into their sculpts makes them stand out against pretty much every Fantasy range out their I'd say.
This fellow above has been raiding the local village I'd imagine with that sack filled with goodies. I like all the fur draped over his armour which could look nice when painted up with a wintery feel to it.
There are plenty more characters to choose from but this one was one of my favourites.
For fans of the work of Joe Abercrombie, this reminded me of so many of their Northern characters that fought alongside Logen Nine-Fingers.
I recommend getting stuck into their Kickstarter before it's too late!
Take a look!

$65 for 10 metal minis is not cheap but blimey they look nice.
Price out me off too ,plus I have a load of hasslefree minis that look similar
He makes wonderful models. I have a lot of his humans. I found the elves too small small, and not compatible with those of other companies.
they are looking good.
They look really good, but can’t help but see the mages’ staves as giant Q-tips.
