Chris, the door is actually a quarter inch (1 cm) taller than the lower foam height. I just cut a groove in the second layer of foam where the door would go. I glued the door to the upper foam and to the foam on the backside of the door.
I think he means how did you get the detailed engraving on the door.
The door itself is from a GW Cities of Death building kit. Imperial Sanctum I believe.
