I’d imagine these pests to be really week, but high in numbers and with a good amount of attacks. Much like Tyranids.
Interesting, my vision was more of a large monstrous creature. But your idea is cool as well (albeit a bit hard to make models of).
Wouldnt be too too difficult given the right tools. Just grab some Sculpty and some simple small carving tools. just build, then cook the basic geometric shapes, like abdomin, torso, head, and arms, then do some basic carving on the geometric shapes nothing fancy cause the models would be small and wouldn’t need much detail.
glue them together and presto.
you’ld probably be able to get away with 3 or 4 to a 40mm base with very little detail, and let the paint work for you.
I like your definition of “not too difficult” 😉 Anyways, if I build it I would probably use mostly original plastic parts (like the triarch praetorians “backpack” with some additional green stuff. As I said my vision is more of a 5-6 cm monster than of a tiny bug.
