Purgatory Miniatures Have A Meeting With Death
August 12, 2015 by brennon
Purgatory Miniatures have been working on a new game world and miniatures range starting off with the horrifying looking Death. What better way to start building a dark world of religious warfare than with a reaper...
The world of Purgatory is a very interesting one with a distinct emphasis on the war for heaven being played out on Earth as angels and demons reveal themselves. Death is an interesting character indeed since she is actually Eve. Yep, that Eve...
"God offered Eve the ability to watch over her far roaming children, to the be the mother he designed her to be. For God knew the mortality of mankind and entrusted Eve with guiding the souls of her children to the next realm.
With this great task came the curse of immortality for all of man is a child of Eve and until each human had breathed its last, Eve could not rest.
Reluctantly Eve agreed for she could no longer bear the pain of longing and loneliness."
The choice of scissors is an emphasis on her 'cutting the thread' of someones life short to take them into the afterlife. While she might appear like a wizened old woman she has quite the task set before her.
Game-wise the focus is going to be on these character angels and will be a skirmish based affair. They are going to be coming to Salute next year in 2016 and have plans for a crowd funding project and more. They have also mentioned how they have a love for community focused growth so look out for more in that vein too.
As a starting point what do you think of Eve as Death? If she has interested you then watch out for the next model, St. Pete, who takes on the role of a night club bouncer. Not bad!
Will you be following this?

So bizarre.. I need to start collecting figures like these, if only because they intrigue me, and I feel I need to reward a dark artist’s wonderful imagination.
Creepy looking model, that is.
First thing, I like seeing older people depicted in miniatures and even more so as someone that can handle themselves and anyone else for that matter. This hit all the right keys as well as making her look scary.
I think that should be a shopping trolley with bladed wheels.
Mintballs….. now that sounds like an idea…. 😉
Thank you for the great comments guys. We are glad you like her. Watch out for the up coming painting competition we are going to be doing on lady Death 🙂
Lol just a little of the top sir?
That is one scary model.
That is one great miniature. Very unusual, and very well done.
Also, looks like a very fun and original setting for a game. Purgatory’s facebook page is now ‘liked’ and I’ll be keeping an eye on this!
