Hysterical Games Brings In Mobile Units To Panzerfauste
May 23, 2016 by stvitusdancern
Hysterical Games alternate reality wargame Panzerfaustë where your countries are represented by fantasy races such as Dwarves, Gnomes, Orcs among others is progressing nicely and they posted an update recently via their Kickstarter and Facebook pages.
In this update they give us a look at two pretty impressive miniatures. The first one is a new 3D sculpt of their Troglodytes riding into battle on the back of battle moles.
Yes, you read that right they are going to be charging into battle on a crazed mole that kind of remind me of a cousin of the ROUS (rodents of unusual size) from Princes Bride.
The Kret Ulani (Mole Lancers) are a rather smart looking unit and look to bring some mobility to their side. I am looking forward to the final product.
The second item is a painted prototype of the Panzerbär, the armoured bear with a tank hull on his back with a Dwarf crewman giving directions. The paint work is nicely done and shows the nice detail of not only the bear's fur, but also the ironworks of the hull.
That has to be one incredibly strong bear, because all that metal looks extremly heavy. I wonder what kind of movement this unit will have and if the bear itself can make an attack if needed. This is such an interesting twist on warfare that is based around the early twentieth century.
Have you had a chance to look at Panzerfaustë?

Panzerbar… awesome. The mole lancers are cool too!
Lol they look brill.
I’m sure the dwarves used their technology to make it an augmented exoskeleton more than mere armor for the bear.
Wow that is an awesome idea! I would take that over 10000000 steamtanks.
that bear unit looks nuts! very nice.
Panzerbär!!! Must have one!
Wasn’t too sure about the whole ‘WWI and fantasy races’-mix at first, but these designs are really starting to grow on me. Some very characterful stuff in there for sure!
bit of WW1, but mostly WW2, but all in all, thank you for the kind comment. Means a lot! 🙂
This is turning into a better line each release.
Thanks for the kind comments, folks!
We can’t wait to start selling the Panzerbär, but it’s really important to make sure our KS backers get theirs first! We want to do things *RIGHT*. 🙂
Cheers!
Rob
These look great, and while I admit I wasn’t going to go for armoured units and cavalry, just the infantry, I may be changing my mind. Looking forward to seeing more of the other units (already loving the British Orc war wyrm)!
