Embrace The Darkness With New Nocturna Malefic Characters
August 31, 2015 by brennon
Nocturna Models have added four new characters to their range of 30mm Malefic characters. If you like the idea of Gothic characters that would be at home in the likes of World of Darkness then check them out...
The first of the models to take a look at is Luz who has a very Soul Calibur-ish sword at her side. It should be noted that all of these models are made of high quality resin and sculpted by Luis Royo and Romulo Royo.
Next up we have both Soum and Marduk who look like they both know that big katana-like swords get the job done. Soum looks like she could be a player character in a game of Hunter (World of Darkness) while Marduk is much more vampire like in his appearance and could well be her foe.
All of the characters actually herald from the Malefic Time project where they have their own backstories and motivations. Marduk is actually quite interesting and almost celestial and otherworldly in his origins. You can find out more over on their website.
Last but not least we have quite the interesting addition to the line-up. While the others have been original characters from the Royo brother's minds this is Lucifer himself.
With a rather deadly looking blade, burned wings, and an outfit that would be rather fitting for an anime series Lucifer certainly looks the part of mighty overlord of the underworld.
If you'd like to learn more about these characters and their stories then there are a range of artbooks and more you can grab a hold of which take you deeper into their narrative.
What do you think of the models?

Very nice models. I like all of them but I think Lucifer is very interesting.
I was about to say the painting behind the Luz miniature looks like a Luis Royo painting (I have a few of his books) . . . then I clicked on the link and said “Oh, no wonder.” 😀
Those look impressive.
They look good Marduk & thor look brilliant.
I’ve always liked Nocturna minis, but I haven’t gotten to paint any of them yet.
… hmmm, I wonder what Doremon is looking at (O . O) ???
