Now, we move on to adding some more effects to add a higher level of relaism. This will span across several steps that we like to call "super detailing" At this stage, of course, we can leave the tower as it is, or pick and choose any of the steps to follow, depending on taste and the end result we wish to achieve.

We will, first, start adding Army Painter Green Tone to the stained areas, to help with the effect of water runoff from the wood.

We first stipple the wash over the areas we previously airbrushed, this can be applied as heavily or as thinly as we want.

Once applied, we run a finger over the area to remove the wash from the upper surfaces, leaving the wash just in the recesses between the stones of the wall. We can also do the same thing around the door and window frames, although this does give a very subtle effect and is entirely optional.

To create moss, we mix basing flock with PVA glue. In this case it is a crushed up sponge flock. This makes a thick paste that we can apply to the model.

once applied and left to dry, this will become a subtle moss effect that will take a lot of punishment as it is entirely sealed by the PVA glue.
