About the Project

When Jes Goodwin was announced as redesigning the range in the early 2000's I was intrigued, but when they previews appeared in 2010 I knew I needed them in my life for reasons. So in 2011 as a preorder appeared I grabbed it, brought home my lovely knew army and shiny codex, ooohed and aaahed over them for a while and promptly put them back in their box and into one of my many cupboards. With a friend getting back into 40K in 8th I have decided to finally getting around to building and playing a force that I have 4 codices for but never built. I wanted something different but I also want something relatively fast to get onto the tabletop, and decided to go for Drow looking elves, grey skin white hair. With such a dark skin tone the armour and leather needs to pop and after much searching I've decided on red leather and a bone armour.

After a (un)productive days browsing the web thinking of colour schemes I stumbled onto a Drow-like Lahmia figure and that started the ball rolling, page after page of images started to produce the occasional nugget of inspiration from the quagmire of black and green armoured clones.
