Play More Rules – Rangers of Shadow Deep

About the Project
Following the weekender (09/11/2024) Ben spoke about focusing on more books and fewer minis, and this means we already own tons of miniatures so why not just look at different rule sets to use for these minis (more bang for a mini buck). With this in mind can I without spending money play through Rangers of Shadow Deep either by using existing painted models/terrain, painting old minis or building old terrain kits... and possibly 3D printing missing parts for "free"? I am looking forward to this.

I need a river
So I know in my collection of stuff I don’t own a river, so I think this is a good time to get the 3D printer into action… as I have said I would like to do this without spending money. There are plenty of great companies out there doing STLs for rivers and I might look into that in the future but for now, I found this on Thingiverse

So I am going to get a bunch of straight’s on the go then add some bends etc later
To do list before I play....
Okay, so I think I am not far off what is required for this first Scenario but I need to do the following.
- Base already painted miniatures
- Paint Zombies
- Paint Giant Rats
- Read rules and watch lets play (Found Always Board Never Boring the YT channel who covers much of the game)
- Complete Ranger build
Scenario 1 - Table setup
Okay, so I think I can do Scenario 1. I have an encirclement of buildings with trees and rocks scattered around, using some barrels and a wagon as the Clue items.
My Warband - The painted but never used
Ok so using minis I have painted but never put to any use let’s meet the team
My understanding is I get my Ranger and 120 recruitment points with a max of 7 companions… so
Ranger
Arcanist 15P
Archer 20P
Conjuror 20P
Rogue 20P
Savage 35P
Warhound 10P
Total 120P
Mission 1 - Scenario 1- The Deserted Village
Ok I think the best way to approach this is just build, paint, print as I go so I will do it per Scenario…
So here we are The Deserted Village we need
And a table that looks like..
