The rest of Orrus was more conventional. I simply painted it with my normal brushes, paints and washes.

Enjoy!

Hi there!

So I bought myself a shiny new airbrush. A nice Iwata HP-CS. This is the third time that I try my hand at airbrushing. I bought two cheaper sets before this one. I permanently clogged up my first cheap chinese one. However, I was able to salvage the hose and compressor.

To replace this airbrush I bought a slightly more expensive one from Vigiart. I learned to thin my paints correctly with this one but the poor construction meant that I stripped the nozzle’s threads whilst cleaning it. RIP airbrush #2

I splurged on this new third one and now my world has opened. No clogging, it sprays anything that I throw at it. A true workhorse. It’s also very nice quality. Built of high quality steel and chrome.

So this is what I did with it. Primed it with Vallejo black primer. A zenithal higlight of white ink. Then a nice coat of P3 Gnarls Green. A highlight of P3 Necrotite Green. And a final pass of P3 Moldy Ochre.

I didn’t even thin my paints for the most part. So final words of advice, if you want to begin airbrushing buy a nice one from the start it will be less expensive in the long run and way less frustrating.

Cheers!
