Going Wild In The West

About the Project
Recently bought Dead Man's Hand Redux and I need town for shootouts. I had some MDF buildings already, but bought a few more so that I can (hopefully) fill a 6x4 table (although I don't need that size).

Let There Be Light
It’s slow progress on the western table, but I have painted a 3×2 board after texturing it a bit and stuck some tea dyed posters on a few buildings.
Of course you can’t see much of that as I bought some remote controlled lights to put inside the buildings and turned the main room light off.
The lights are a bit chunky, but they are for effect, not realism.
Work In Progress - Part 1
Assembled everything I have so far and slapped paint on the roof of most buildings. Still got a pile of miniatures to paint.
Battlemat is 6×4, but that’s not full width of table (40 inches, I have an extension piece I tag on one side) and from one end of town to the other is about 40 inches.
I am tempted to buy a few more MDF buildings to add some variety.
First game of Dead Man’s Hand Redux should be tomorrow night.
Once Upon A Time In The West...
Although there are three buildings in the DMH starter set they are all the same and I want variety on the table, so bought some MDF by TT Combat to add to the ones I had lying around from a western RPG I ran a few years ago.
However… the Pitchstone Municipal set that I bought had no floor on the ground level and I didn’t want to see battlemat when the roof comes off.
I bought some A3 mdf sheets for a different project and decided to cut some sheets down to use as base and spray painted it…
But it was too boring to look at… so I scratched some planks into the surface.
That left the outside border which was too dark for a desert theme, so I used some Diorama FX Desert Sand by Vallejo to add some texture.
This is the result… which is still a work in progress… it’s a prototype.
