About the Project
About a month ago Space Crusade was mentioned with regards to Dungeonalia. I have a copy of it which I haven't looked at for about 30 years. I've dug it out and even played a game with my daughter but can I paint it all?

Sporks
I’m showing my age but I probably painted these orks 30-35 years ago. They were press ganged into 40k games at some point. Now they are going in the Dettol. The plan is to paint everything in Space Crusade for Dungeonalia. A challenge. Yes.
Dettol and Miniature soup
Just add Orks and a Genestealer for extra flavour.
Time to clean up
The orks are out of the Dettol and added to the rest to be cleaned up before priming. I’m working on the orks and gretchin first.
Ready for some paint
They’ve been primed with ColourForge Matt Black and drybrushed with a grey and then white. Army Painter speed paints next.
Greenskins
Been working on the skin today. Experimenting with two different greens. AP Orc Skin for the gretchin and AP Charming Chartreuse for the orks.
More Greenskins
I have finally finished painting all the Orks and Gretchin. I’ve been thinking about basing. I was going to do fancy spaceship bases but don’t have time for that so I’m going to some use some old AP basing material I have laying around and see what I can do with that
Bomb da base
I lightly drybrushed rust over the grey stones to create a uniform effect. I might go back to these at some point but I’m happy.
Mr Roboto
I need to channel my inner necron for these.
Humanoid
I mostly used AP speed metallics on these. I’ve found that they do need a darker wash over them.
They mostly come at night. Mostly
This has definitely been a voyage into slapchopping and using speed paints.
I am Alpharius and We are Alpharius
I’m thinking the Alpha Legion would be skulking around in an old space hulk.
Hydra Dominatus
This project has been all about getting stuff done quickly. I wanted to do something slightly different for the Chaos Marines. Primer of Leadbelcher, light drybrush of silver then mixing up some Speedpaints to create a blue-green colour. Here we go!
A Walking Engine of glittering metal
I didn’t quite finish all the bad guys before the end of winter but it is the most minis I’ve ever painted in such a short time. All thanks to Army Painter speed paints.
By the Blood of Sanguinius!
The only real Chapter I have ever painted are Dark Angels and that was a long time ago. Slap chopping red for the Blood Angels will be a new experience but I’m learning something new everytime.
Slapchoppery
As I will be using red speed paint on these I thought I would try something different when drybrushing. I’m starting with a Tanned Flesh and then Brainmatter Beige.
