About the Project
I got my copy of Oathsworn delivered on Sunday and BOY are the sculpts great!! We are playing out first game on Saturday. I was too hung over on Sunday to do anything so that gives me FIVE DAYS to get everything ready for game one! I'm documenting this day by day with my progress. Fortunately (or unfortunately come Monday....) I'm a teacher so I have all week off so I'm in with a chance! I'll show completed pieces and give a bit of info on how I did them, so as not to repeat myself everything is undercoated black then zenithil light grey then white and finally dry brushed white ? EDIT:SPOILERS I'll be adding in the bosses as we do them. I'll have two weeks to complete each one before our gaming sessions!

Giant spider
This guy was a lovely model. I tried to get some nice contrast between oranges and purple. Pretty pleased how the eggs on her back turned out, I airbrushed them individually then speckled then with white which accidently looked a bit like stars!
Reincarnated tribal boss
This was another tribal guy that had mutated so I used pretty much the same technique as before for his living tribes fellows!
Keening the witch
Pretty boring model to be honest.
Was quick to do, tried to make her look pasty and evil haha
The fight was an absolute nightmare and we won by the skin of our teeth!
Final boss
So this was a big boy!
A big heavy old peice of plastic!
It was a lot quicker and easier to paint that I thought. Undercoated black I then build up some later r on the main areas, green for the body, brown for the bark, purple/pink for the tentacles, red for the bulbous growths on the back and bone white for the head and horns.
I did an all over oil wash in dark versions of these then tidied up with a brush to rehilight.
I actually could have done a lot more and edge hilighted and stippled extra texture but I was actually happy with it as it was so decided to leave it!
Fight was super tough and it came down to the last character Alive on one hit point with one final attack that needed (we thought) to do three damage. There were groans as the werebear only did two. We then realised that just before this when my penitant died I forgot to play my instant which would have reflected the damage back so he should have been on two hit points and therefore we had won! Just by the skin of our teeth.
What an amazing game, took us just over a year to complete!
Really happy with how the painting turned out.
I’m now debating whether to keep it or sell I it on as it will be worth quite a bit to someone……
