rockguts
Rockguts are all finished. These guys were a blast to paint. The idea for their color palette was to be similar to the landscape.
troll WIP
Still working on my army. Just had to take some time to finish up the Infinity project for the NOCF fall raffle. But today I have some WIP of my rockguts.
burning head
The burning head endless spell. This spell has been in the list from the start of the campaign. It was a nice little thing to round up to the starting 1000 points. And I loved the idea of this crazed little git wizard casting this giant burn head. Decided to do a bit of a generic base for it as I can use it across multiple armies.
Game 2, Story
Igzig heard a rumor that the walled humans had sent a messenger out to deliver information to their allies the elves. Being a sneaky git, an ambush was set to intercept. Globbnogg was out searching for the git blessed by GorkaMorka so Skasnag joined him in the ambush. Hopefully the skills and mushroom treats of the shepherd would over come any arcane magic the humans and elves would surely have. Igzig’s force was able to catch the humans by surprise. Sending his large squig herd into the human fanatics. It wasn’t to long after the initial engagement that only the bouncing jaws of the squig herd were left. To the east Igzig spotted what had to be the messenger, a steamtank. If the humans were using something as valuable as a tank, the information had to be vital. The tank was able to elude Igzig while peppering him and Skasnag with shots from its various guns. Not seconds after the smoke cleared, the contingent of elves arrived to the south engaging the hoppers. Although highly trained, they were no match for the snapping jaws of the squigs. Seeing their allies destroyed and not wanting the information to fall into Igzig’s hands the humans fled. Igzig half relieved knew he would need bigger stronger beasts if he was ever going to crack that armor in the future. The warband collected all the mushrooms and dropped shiny bits they could find before heading back to the keep. Upon Igzig’s arrival to the keep. He was greated by Globbnogg with another git by his side. Zonkgank the whinging. Igzig smiled knowing his new problems may have just been solved.
game 1, story
Played the first game this past Thursday. No pictures because I didn’t think about that while playing. Next time. But I wrote up another story of the battle. I think thats how I will do any future battle reports. The game was 700 points, gloomspite gitz vs seraphon. The battleplan was nexus of power out of the dawnbringers book 1.
Igzig wasn’t expecting to come across scaley boyz as he headed south but both warbands seemed to be surprised by the others presence. It looked like both warbands were unconsciously drawn to the area because of a long lost nexus of power. Igzig knew his gitz had to take on these scaley boyz as nexus areas always had the best mushrooms growing near by. Not wanting to have his hoppers fight head on, Igzig released his horde of squigs to run a distraction. The oddly well executed plan seemed to work as the rest of the gitz harvested all the mushrooms they could find. Unbeknownst to both armies the shudderblight plague lingered in the area. This cause a few scaley boyz and gitz to wander off. Luckily for the gitz the Bad Moon hung over the battlefield for the whole skrimage and by the end only the gitz and squig were left. After the fighting stopped Globbnogg crushed up some of the new harvest and began to brew. The concoction caused him to see into another realm. Where odd beings, who could only be described as gadget gitz, spoke to him. Globbnogg seemed to understand only a bit of what they said but he learned how to find them again. Igzig decided to head back to the old keep they called home. For now the warband would have to rest after the victory.
A herd and a story
The first herd is painted and today is the first game. So I will have some of the army unpainted but, not bad progress for starting only a couple days before the start of the campaign. I also did a little write up for my warband. I am by no means a writer in any sense but hope y’all like it.
After finding a small glassworks Igzig Dankmullet knew he was on the right path. Aqshy was the place he would find the Morka touched git, know as a rabble rowza. His unruly mob of gitz ransacked the glassworks of all the bottles they could find. These will be needed for the various mushroom brews the shaman, Globbnogg, promised would help find the loud mouthed git. It wasn’t long before the last bottle was klepped when the squig hopper scouts came back. They spoke of a band of bone boyz to the south. After speaking to his squig shepherd, Skasnag, Igzig decided to head south. The ground bones under the light of the Bad Moon would grow big and angry squigs. And just maybe this battle would make GorkaMorka bless the warband.
Mad Mage
My Madcap shaman. Needed a spell caster and mushroom picker.
The Shepherd
This is the squigboss. I believe he was a brand new sculpt when the battletome got its update. Lot of character in this little mini.
The Chase Begins
The chase begins with the boss of course. My loonboss on giant cave squig. This army will primarily be moon clan and squig focused.
