About the Project
So with the imminent arrival of 10th edition I thought it was about time I painted the last of my Tyranid's. All the others are painted for hive fleet Kraken using the scheme from "How to paint Citadel miniatures" (so no contrast). I have some termagants, a Tyrannocyte (which was still shrink wrapped) and the the more recent Parasite of Mortrex. I want to try and get these done to a tabletop standard and then move on to another spring clean project I have in mind.

Finally done (sort of)
Finally got these complete (without basing but I’ll sort that out when I know what size bases they are going to be on in 10th).
I’ve done 9 with devourers as I had a lone one with a devourer (hes at the front) and 7 with flesh borers.
What started out as 30 Gaunts has ended up with 70 Gaunts and 4 ripper bases. Once they are all based I’ll try and layout the whole army to see what they look like.
More Gaunts
These are the new gaunts to flesh out the smaller units, one of the boxes had 7 rippers in it so I hunted through the bits box for a few more to make an extra stand. In the process I found enough for 3 more stands and 16 gaunt bodies (although only 10 heads) I’ve ordered some more heads so now I have even more to paint.
This quick and easy project is turning out to be any thing but!
Gaunts are done nearly
For some reason I have ended up with 14 Termagants with fleshborers, 8 with spinefists and 8 Hormagaunts. Rather belatedly I looked and you cant field units under 10 and as it looks like these are going to get new models for 10th I’ve ordered a box of each so they at least don’t look too odd.
I’m also going to leave the basing for now they seem to have larger bases in 10th and I’ll wait until that confirmed before that gets done.
Starting out
