Rohan

Another step.

I filled up gaps withiliput and added some plastic leafs from Ikea FEJKA plastic plant.

I have tried to use superglue to attach branches but I had por results.

I used miliput in the end..it’s much slower as it takes 24h to dry rock hard and then apply few more branches. But this is so solid that I am not worried about loosing them anymore. It’s just stages that is slowing proces so much.

Next I add more plastic. Twisting it while it’s still soft adds interesting texture and look.

This was just another thing I wanted to do for long time. It’s big ent tha wil also fit withy daughter KoW forces of nature.

So. I am not great with updates I have already painted all models and a bit I wanted to share it with you.

So . I did a few conversions,  nothing major. few extra swords, head swap here and there, just to break up that same mold models a bit, they are warriors so in my mind few heads without helmets will not do any harm and will  help out to make them look a bit more individual, I also swaped few shields to Celtic shields that in my mind look like something Rohan warrior would paint on their shild themselfs. Plus different shades of uniforms, should be enoug.

Paints used – mostly AV (VALLEJO) , P3 and Army painter – primer from wilko black an d dusted white.

Body cloth and shields

• olive gray
• Medium olive air range [ used also as wash ]
• P3 sanguine base
• olive gren
• brown sand

Skin and hair

• P3 sanguine base
• beige
• basic skin
• pale sand
• flat yellow

Any metal plate mail from Army painter –  washes used to differentiate shields, buckles, swords or helmets.

• sepia shade from VALLEJO
• Mid brown from AP

all paints have been mixed a lot too to achieve different shades wit little efford,

And following my wallet request I bought some minas tirith.

So. I had my first game against Saruman with troll and his uruk hai. And I won…. So I went off to eBay and bough much.. much more. Again following my wallet ? and my never fulfilled interest in having Calvary based army ( polish hussaria being always my love ?) I got this.

Most models has been damaged but because I love converting it only gave me extra motivation to do something about it.

I went on line to buy some Celtic resin  shields ( 5mm unfortunately a bit smaller than GW )and metal spears from eBay.

Over holiday I managed to finish my long waiting Rohan project. I have no idea about middle earth game. Or how to build army for it but I did it best way. I just bought models I like from eBay for good price and started from there.  They have been done in under month.   5 royal guard mounted. 5 Rohan riders. Theoden. Eomer. Edwina?  captain mounted. 8 foot royal guard and 8 Rohan warriors. I think.
