I started with something easy, the card terain.
So new thicker card stock terrain
Best start working on the models.
I’m starting with the Hassassins.
and the ALEPH
Best get the ALEPH stuff done before the weekend ends.
I wasn’t quite finished, I had forgotten the bonus Helen Of Troy HVT figure.
Priming.
I start priming, This time starting outside, using the last of the can of Flat Black, before allowing them to be touch dry, bringing them inside, into the spray booth to finish off with the Airbrush, and the Vallejo Matt Black Primer. I will let this sit and cure until tomorrow after lunch, and start the zenithal layers of Grey/White.
Zenithal Layers
After my Mother left, and I cleaned up a little, I got the Zenithal Layers done. With Vallejo Cold Grey, and Dead White.
Lets start some colours.
Okay, so I was tired last night, and uploaded the wrong photo, but I fixed it today, and hey I’ve also started adding colours, to the ALEPH side at least, with Vallejo Magic Blue, and Electric Blue.
Hassassins get some colour too!
I went for sandy colours for the Haqq stuff, last time I did anything Haqq related it was very light green and black, rather sci-fi, so this time I went with a more subdued desert scheme, I’ll add some darker secondary colours later. This is all Vallejo Khaki, Earth, and Desert Sand.
Base colour update.
Okay, so both sides have the primary colour done, but with my GP saying no to going back to work until October 24th, I do still have a whole week to get the project completed.
Preparing the bases.
I glued the MDF base toppers down to the bases. These came from Corvus Belli, and were going to be for my 0-12, but then I used a 55mm one as a test piece, but only had one left, and needed two, so I bought those super cool acrylic ones for the 0-12. These were just sitting in a drawer, and so why no use them for the Operation Blackwind. Now It was actually my intention to do a kind of desert base for the Hassassin side, but I glued toppers too all the bases, so a uniform basing will make sense for any demos I do with this.
Remounting because corks are wildly unstable!
After a week of constantly knocking over the corks, today I went through and remounted all the models onto plastic shot glasses. with the flared end, they’re much more stable.
Bases are White.
I decided to prime the bases White, just to minimise the impact on colour choices for me later on. I’m not sure what colours to use on them, a generic red and blue, to show the different sides maybe, of complimentary colours for each faction? A decision to make after i finish the models I think
Adding a wash.
Okay, so I’m done? Except adding a wash.
Taking the wash back off again.
Okay, so now they’re Grimey. Let’s take most of it back off again.
The ALEPH are done
All I needed was to get them off the painting bases, and put them on the real bases.
Let's try and get the Haqq half done.
The ALEPH are done, but what about the Haqq stuff?
It’s the painting weekend, and with the compressor not having a tank, the Samurai army will remain as it is.
Saturday
Okay, so I left these guys in a series of brownish yellows, so lets add some more colours;
A light grey colour for guns, then I added some dark flesh tone to my usual Cork brown skin colour, and then hey is they aren’t wearing a helmet, they probably have hair, best do that too.
