About the Project

With the upcoming release of HH 2.0, I've picked up some bits to use in an army. Mostly unmade models from the 2 older boxsets. But will be using the new/old 40K models where correct to do so.

Annoyingly I forgot to take any photos but played my 1st game for 400 points. Very enjoyable, but everything has a speical rule, like everything. What was very annoying was that the special rules are spread out between 2 books so spent vast amounts of time flipping from book to book looking for a rule. That said the more I play the more rules I’ll remember so that should get easier.

I lots by the way. Badly.

Picked up my HH boxset today, just got the main box and Loyalist army book. Wanted some special weapons but they were sold out. My main take aways are

1) 50 shades of Grey. So much to make and paint, frankly it’s scaring me

2) The main rulebook is a beast, you could definately beat someone to death with it. Having said that the 1st 120 odd pages is fluff.

With GW posting this video I can get round to getting some paint on. Won’t be following to the letter as I have neither the skill or patience to do so. But it’s going to give me some ideas.

Some transfers I found in a box. They're from 1989. I work with people younger than these. They won't work but I'm definitely going to try. Some transfers I found in a box. They're from 1989. I work with people younger than these. They won't work but I'm definitely going to try.

Made the Scouts up, had to faff a bit with the Sgt, as you only get 4 arms to connect with the weapons, which seems a bit pants if you ask me as there is 5 to a squad.

Put one next to a MKIII and he looks smaller, which is good as in lighter armour he should do.

1st squad built, haven’t built and Space Marines since the RTB01 boxset, over 30 years ago. Very nice models with lots of parts although there isn’t alot of choice when it comes to poses. Also not alot of bits left over, although I’m sure I’ll get some use out of them.

Done some digging and it looks like the Scouts from yesterday will be usable which is a win!

Scouts, are they useable?

Found some scouts, clearly for 40K but I’m wondering if they can be used for 30K. I suspect if they were snipers they would be, but these aren’t 🙁

Picked this up off Facepage market place as is, so no work done to it apart from opening the box of course. From my understanding this type of Rhino is usable in the HH, but if I’m wrong I’m sure it’ll be pointed out to me.

Built the Dreadnought, it occurred to me that I don’t have the instructions for any of these. As a result there was a lot of dry fitting to make sure it all worked. Went for the assault cannon rather than the duel flamer because it looks cooler.

Starting out with the hero models from the Calth boxset. Prob use them as squad leaders rather than heroes but we’ll see what the score is once the rules are out.
