About the Project

I recently backed a kickstarter called Lunar Auxilia by ThatEvilOne. It's all 3D .stl files. They are absolutely fantastic, i already have a Solar Auxilia army from Forgeworld but now 3D printing has come along so fast it's super easy to print amazing looking models at home for super cheap, that i would say easily match what forgeworld is able to do.

I’m printing all this out on a printer worth less than £200, the Voxelab Proxima. I can’t recommend this printer enough, it’s absolutely fantastic. I paid £179 for a brand new 2K monochrome printer, from amazon prime, that blows my anycubic photon S out of the water. i Love it so much i bought a second one!

If you want to get into 3D printing mini’s then i personally would say you can’t go wrong with one of these!! They have already paid for themselves!!

My first prints and painted models from the KS. i picked the Ogryns as they are the biggest infantry so i could try out my paint scheme, being bigger models it would make it easier to see what i wanted to do. I have never painted mostly white models but i wanted to push myself and try something new and i think it has turned out really well. unfortunately the camera has washed out the subtle shading on the white which is annoying but i promise it is there.

I may go back and add blood splatters across the model but for now i’m rather pleased with these as is.
