About the Project
I'm terrible at finishing things so this is to help me . My genestealer cult army has been a dream to finish since 1996 ! I've had many part done projects and choppy conversions but now ... Im sticking to a theme a well loved and done loads of time over now but I love the style ! Mad max meets blanchjitsu Bring on the rusts and weathering ! The cults backstory is it infected ( insert a planet name ) the cult started an uprising but found out there was a super weapon facility hidden deep under a mountain . The GSC sent a large splinter force to crack it consisting of the planets infected miners, mechanicum , guard and hybrids .As soon as they got in with the GSC leadership they found it suffered major damage and the entrance collapsed . Psychic warding sealed off the cults hive mind from the rest out side it also protected them from the tryanids stripping the world of life . Having found this super weapon it was a webway that the use to hit and raid other planets where their web ways are unprotected . You say SG1 I say GSC1 ;)

Birthday week crunch time !
In the start of June a friend booked a game at warhammer world for July the 20th for my birthday weekend .
He stated PAINTED TO TABLETOP STANDARD …. this was to encourage me to get armies done .
So all four of us got seven weeks to get done .My ADHA task avoidance kicked in and only got going on my week off on the 17th of July .
Getting back to the project !
Well …. after having some time away from the project due to family health and feeling the burn out creeping I’ve see what my friend on Instagram has done to complete his space wolf army . Now I’ve got the itch to get on with at least 2 hours a night to get it done !
No problem 🙂 …… right ?
Saw Boss
Yup ……… That is a dremel saw !
Well I had to run a file over the sharp teeth after cutting a slot in to the vehicle twice with the smaller one also .
Doing the same effects with was the last ridgerunner I mixed
Blood for the Blood GOD and wild wood contrast 2:1 then flicked it using a plastic pallet knife .
I may add a split open road kill bouncing off the hood ( a mini that my friend plays 😉 )
Ridge runners conversions
Well I finally worked out how to add text instead of image text 😀 so I primed the runner then airbrushed chipping fluid , over coated with thinned down edge green from GW I liked the super light teal green colour then I got chipping !
After chipping Iwent in with riza rust from GW ( very orange and thick paint ! ) then washed the ridge runner in AK streaking rust enamel paints . Drying with a hairdryer out side due to fumes and the smell I went in with a cotton swab loaded with white sprits removing from areas and pushing into cracks . When dry used null oil all over , after a few hours I came back in with AK sand pigment wash and repeated the removing but with a dry cotton swab
Goliath truck chop-shop
