About the Project
This project page is an experiment to record the myriad of minis I paint in a mediocre fashion.

I'm not very good at this.
So it appears I’m not very good at this project log thing, but here’s some pics of just some of the stuff I’ve been painting for Stargrave
Unpopular opinion
So I’ve found that the Frostgrave sprues have always been lacking and haven’t been a fan, however I’ve bought a few over the years and played around with them. From somewhere I’ve ended up with a barbarian sprue so decided to mix it with Wargames Atlantic’s Grognards and produce some trench fighter style guys for stargrave.
Sooner or later every curse is a prayer
Seems it’s been a while since I posted. I planned to post once a week but real life got in the way. Anyway here’s some pics of minis I’ve finished recently and some currently on the painting table. Stargrave might be my game of choice for the moment but there’s always time for random stuff

The men of Erlestoke muster for war
So I continue with my terrain build and have found a model suitable for the courthouse, it’s a different style of build than my other buildings and is a bit more difficult to make so I’ll probably make plenty of mistakes. I’ve also painted a few more sergeants from Fireforge games and have nominally decided to build a force for the Lord of Erlestoke Matthew Fitzherbert. I have had a box of these built and laying in a box for a while so it’s nice to throw some paint on them.
Imber wasn't built in a day
My Imber build continues and all I need now is a courthouse and then I can move on to the Urban warfare training area.
Not enough pictures taken, so you get this
So it seems I need to take more pictures of my Imber project. But for now I’ve added another unit to my Lochos and thanks to Panzerkaput I’ve started another era.
Power is a lot like real estate
So the building has begun, my pub is built apart from a roof. I need to come up with a suitable corrugated material for 15mm I’ve also started my first terrace of “council” houses, this is my second attempt at them the pattern I downloaded had tiny contact points that weren’t suitable so I have extended them and fingers crossed they work . As for my gaming force I’ve decided on Israelis do have painted a wee test model. I’m not sold on the uniform I think it needs to be greener.
Oh and I finished my third stand of Greeks for my Lochos
Looks like I have a real project
The picture I have included is Imber village. For those who dont know, Imber was commandeered by the British army during WW2 with the promise it would be returned to the villagers. It never was.
Me and my gaming buddy grew upon the edge os Salsibury plain a major army training area, and right next to Imber ) We have decided that we are going to look at cold war era gaming as our next project so have decided to build a replica of Imber to fight over. The village wont be an exact replica.
a: the village has been bastardised by the army over the last 70 years
b: my modelling skills arent good enough.
anyways looks like the greeks are once again pushed to the side
Some little tanks and their big brothers
I painted the unit of 222’s so decided to add a unit of Marders to protect them.
I also finished my second stand of Hoplites for my Lochos.
My gaming buddy wants to do 15mm cold war so I think I’ll maybe do a test paint for a Canadian Leopard next.
I forgot how much I love 15mm
So I finished my AA Half-tracks and I’ve realised how much I actually love 15mm. So I’ve dragged a unit of 222’s out to be painted next. Looks like my Lochos will now become the side project.
More stuff done
Well that’s the other 2 Ferdies finished giving me a herd of elephants, possibly more than I’ll ever field in FoW but the German army still calls to me so I’ve started some AA half-tracks and possibly will paint a more modern big cat
Little big elephant finished
So I finished painting the Ferdinand despite saying it was a side project, the camo is drybrushed on then ‘fluffed’ with a makeup brush and plenty of stirland mud has been added to the tracks.
Turns out I’m an idiot at this and all my pictures are sideways. I’ll try to fix it for my next post.
