That’s the washes done, all 1/1 medium mix but the blue was 2/1 medium and applied very thinly
Bellies gonna get ya!
First up i dont want to spend ages on the skin so im going to try to get the primer to most of the work.
First he’s primed Uniform Grey then zenithed with Grey Seer and the dusted with white.
That will be the base skin colour.
I then drybrushed black over the spines.
You might also notice i change the colours on his rags as the first choices of purple and grey just didnt work.
Just a heads up, the alien purple was drybrushed onto the areas i wanted it and the brainmatter Beige drybrush was on everything bar the skin.
The dark tone wash went all over (50/50 mix, very watered down) and i also used a 50/50 Flesh tone, medium mix on the fur and human body parts.
Next up is the base, i used astrogranitetexture paint to create a mud effect and painted it Dark Stone. A quick Brainmatter beige drybrush, a dark tone wash with some tufts and its done. I’ll add some Vallejo water texture to the flat area to create a puddle effect once ive stuck him to the base.
I painted the back banner seperately. Simple job of Skelly bone the just hit it with Soft tone, red tone and purple tone.
I then added a little model mates rust on the cleaver, some black pigment powder on the rags and hit it with a matt varnish (masking the shiney blood!)
With that hes done and ready to terrorise the wild west!

Now he’s finished I have to say I love this model, painting really does bring out the detail on him. Should mention he was given a Brainmatter Beige before the wash steps!
I gave the entire model a Matt coat then glossed the green and red parts of the chair. Really like the Steam train look of it so wanted to try and bring that out.

After a base tidy and a Matt coat the big man is ready to pile into the Wild West!
