Adding some foam

I originally looked at adding some army storage foam but I wasn’t happy with the potential for wasted space. The box is not massive after all.

SO I opted to just add a foam layer to the lower surface, and some interesting foam pieces I had kicking around

I used plasticard to create the inserts for holding paperwork in place.

I plan on using the slide-out lids as DM screens so will create little info cards to go onto them, so I created another ‘layer’ to store them in…

This time I opted for something a little different. A kind of Art/Sewing case that looked interesting with all its compartments and Knight Rider style Wing Door bits!

Using my trusty calipers I set about measuring and designing how I might add extra bits of storage segments.

So I scribbled out some ideas for clips to hold a DM screen and some options for inserts to hold A5 pages and little info sheets for the DM screens.

So it started with a gift for my daughter

The end result was a 'first dungeon' for my daughter Savanna...The end result was a 'first dungeon' for my daughter Savanna...

I then decided it would be a cool idea to put together a presentation case and organizer for her to store it, and this was the result.

I got a chest off Amazon, then set about cutting up plasticard to make compartments and adding foam inserts. I then created a secret compartment for her DM notebook – and her brothers still haven’t discovered its there!
