The Exodites of Syph

Next Kitbash done today. Here we have an Exodite Dreadnought with Scatter Laser and Flamers. Again I used some Sylvaneth spare bits of the Elder Treeman as well as some Beastmen bits.

This was a fun Kitbash, and the outcome looks really feral and wild.

So, first thing I´ll do for every new project is, to ask myself, what kind of landscape should my force operate in. So it comes down to bases.

Syph should be a cold and feral world, so the bases should tell that.

As you can see, I 3D printed the bases with my Elegoo Mars, using STL Files from CastNPlay I found on MyMiniFactory.

I base primed them Black and gave them a coat of dark blue with my Airbrush. Then I switched to dry brushing them from dark to light using an Ultramarine blue which I brightend up with Army Painter Uniform Grey and Army Painter Ash Grey, finishing the drybrush with white.

The flora on the base I painted with Contrast Paint Terradon Turquoise and Skeleton Horde.

Then the Magic happend. I made a snow paste out of a 50/50 mix of white glue and Vallejo Foam Effect, adding some GaleForce 9 snow flocking.

And Presto: A fast and easy way to do my Exodite World of Syph. It is easy reproducable and a fast way to batchpaint a lot of those bases. I like it.

So, Syph is an Exodite World in the north eastern Ultima Segmentum. I didn´t find any background except the name and location for it, so thats great for my Plans.

I´ll want to do an Icy/Tundra like Exodite World, rough and feral. Eldar Pirates do have an Outpost on this World and live in Exile with the Exodites of Syph.

There is a deadly dread coming to Syph, Hive Fleet Jormungandr is on its way to eat the World. So, the Exodites have to buckle up and get ready to defend Syph.

The first thing I´m working on is my Farseer. I use Eldar, Drukhari and Sylvaneth bits for my Exodites, as well as some 3D Prints later on. I modelled a furcoat with Greenstuff to let him look more feral.
