About the Project
Curent events and the release of Zona Alpha has me interested in painting all my post -apocalypse projects that I have been collecting. This will have bits from the Mars Attacks kickstarter from Mantic Games, the Brigade Games Post-apoc Survivors Kickstarter, Lead Adventure Miniatures-The Last Experiment range, Armorcast Terrain, and other odds and ends.

Ruined walls
Putting some sealant on these walls from Mantic’s Mars Attacks line
Falling Down
He just wants to go home and maybe get a burger on the way. Home just happens to be on the other side of the exclusion zone.
Quick Brick Wall Tutorial
Quick breakdown of Mantic ruined brick wall painting.
1. Prime gray then airbrush brick red the spray with dull coat
2. Paint over with “Brick Joint Filler” by ModelMates
3. Wipe with towel soaked with isopropyl alcohol. This takes the white paint off the top of the bricks ?
4. paint ground effects

Wreck and walls
Finished some walls and this wrecked car. All from Mantic. I had some ivy from Hudson Scenics. Glued them growing up and over the car since it has been there a while. Remember to randomly dry brush the leaves with a bright green so they look like new growth.
Terrain and bugs!
Finished some terrain from Armorcast and some mutant insects from reaper Bones.
Road Wardens
These guys patrol the Virus Exclusion Zone to prevent looters from stealing equipment abandoned by the military and others as they fled the area. They also encounter mutants and rage zombies, which is what is left of those who tried to ride out the Event.
wonderful figures made by Lead Adventure Miniatures. The terrain is from Armorcast
Resin Ruins
Working on super detailing these ruins for my Zona Alpha games. Had these walls for years so I put them together and then build up the interior with plastruct and leftovers from laser cut kit sprues. For the stairs you just take the negative image of the stairs left on the sprue when you punch out the piece for laser cut stairs and cut that negative image out to use as a second set of stairs. Perfectly good for ruins and that way you don’t have to throw out all that left over wood. These came from a 4Ground kit, the Victorian Police station IIRC. The individual steps are then made with plastruct wood panels cut to size. Remember to score your plastruct with heavy grit sandpaper so it looks like wood. This was done on bottom floor and the second floor as well. The supports for the second floor are also laser cut leftover sprue. The interior walls are foam core and the ruble piles are from Mantic. I will post pictures of the finished piece later.
Vaccine Testing
Nurse Olga is ready to give you your Vaccine booster. The Scientists faction has finally discovered a way to inject bleach and liquid UV light into the patient’s body!
Terrain by Mantic painted using the brick technique I learned here on BoW!
