About the Project
Hello all! So as part of the Spring Clean challenge this year I am going to repaint my Ogre. This chap is from Scibor (maker of some of the finest Dwarves) I'm not going to use him in any particular game but I think the model is too nice for the beginner paint job that I applied.

The start
So,
I started painting this chap 3 years ago maybe.
I never finished him and looking at him on my shelf now he just begs to be redone and finished.
I’m not going to strip the model as I don’t think I need to.
Below is the paintjobs from the Scibor website
Fresh lick of paint
I have started by adding a fresh coat of Bugmans glow over all the flesh parts followed by a flesh wash.
I then highlighted with Bugmans glow and added the wash again.
Finally I highlighted the veins on the arms and a few facial features.
The skin now looks a lot better but the eyes a little cartoony.
The wrong trousers
Next I paid some attention to the trousers and axe head.
I gave the trousers a coat of Steel legion drab and the washed with Agrax Earthshade.
Once this was dry I then highlighted with some rotten white.
The axe head I base coated with some oily steel and used dry rust, strong tone and rust to weather.
The end
He took me less time than I thought!
So, another quick highlight of the flesh.
I changed the furs from white/blue to brown. This was done with a base coat of Rakarth flesh with a strong tone wash followed by Rakarth flesh highlights.
The base was done with Necromancer grey with dry brushed wolf grey.
I hope folks have enjoyed this small project.
I look forward to posting another project soon.
